Progestogen contraceptive for dogs and cats.

Medroxyprogesterone acetate is a synthetic steroid that has a similar chemical structure and properties of progesterone. MAP acts as antigonadotrofic (blocking secretion or release of F.S.H) and anti-estrogen active and works on the endometrium.

Formula | Each tablet contains:
Medroxyprogesterone acetate ………… 5 mg

Indications / Uses:
Avoid the appearance of rut. Interruption of rut.

Administration and dosage:
Administration orally.
Felines:
To avoid the appearance of rut: 1 tablet per week.
To stop the rut: 1 tablet daily for 4 days and then continue with 1 tablet per week.
Canines:
To avoid the appearance of rut: 5 days before rut starts, administer 1 tablet per day for as long as the rut should not appear. It will reappear on the 4th day since stopping treatment.
To stop the rut administer 2 tablets for 4 days, then 1 tablet daily for 14 days. Rut is suspended after the 4th day of treatment.

Contraindications / Precautions:
Do not use in female animals with reproductive pathology, breast tumors, mellitus diabetes. Do not use in animals that have not reached sexual maturity.

Presentation:
Box with blister packs containing 60 tablets.
