Xilavet Injectable

Pre anesthetic, analgesic, sedative and muscle relaxant for canines, felines, equines, bovines.

Formula | Every ml contains:
Xylazine hydrochloride …………………… 20.0 mg

Indications / Uses:
Anesthetic for surgery in small and large animals. Exploratory or semiologic maneuvers.

Administration and dosage:
Via I/M:
Canines: 1 – 3 mg per kg bodyweight
Felines: 1 – 3 mg per kg bodyweight
Cattle: 0.1 – 0.2 mg per kg

Via I/V:
Canines: 0.05 – 0.1 mg per kg
Felines: 0.5 – 1mg per kg
Bovine: 0.05 – 0.1 mg per kg
Equines: 0.6 to 1 mg per kg

The action occurs between 5 minutes via I/V or 15 minutes via I/M. Leave the animal in peace until symptoms occur. In subcutaneous injections or fat tissue, absorption is delayed and the rapid elimination prevents the desired effect.

Contraindications / Precautions:
Do not apply to dogs and cats with stomach twists, esophageal obstruction, hernias or the like, because of the danger of emesis.
Do not use in females in the last month of pregnancy, low risk of causing abortion.

Presentation:
Vial containing 50.0 ml.

Keep between 5 and 35 degrees c.
Keep away from direct sunlight, moisture and heat.
Psychotropic medication.
Keep out of the reach of children.
