Ivercal Plus

INDICATIONS:

Broad spectrum antiparasitic indicated for the treatment of parasites in equines produced by the following parasites:

LARGE STRONGYLS: Strongylus vulgaris (adults and arterial larvae), Strongylus edentatus (adult and cystic larvae), Strongylus equinus (adult), Triodontophorus spp (adults).
CESTODES: Anoplocephala magna, Anoplocephala perfoliata.
LARVAE: Agasterophilus spp (oral or gastric stages).
OTHER NEMATODES: Parascaris equorum (adults and 3rd and 4th instar larvae), Oxyuris equi (adults and 3rd and 4th instar larvae), Trichostrongylus axei (adult) Strongyloides westeri (adult), Habronema muscae (adults) Onchocerca spp. (microfiliary), Dictyocaulus amfield (adult and 4th instar larvae).
Control of skin lesions caused by larvae of Habronema spp. (summer sore) and skin microfiliary of Onchocerca spp.
Foals and pregnant mares can be treated safely, in the right way.
It should be administered for the first time when the foals are between 6 and 8 weeks old and then whenever it is considered necessary according to the judgment of the acting professional.

Pregnant mares can be treated in any month of gestation, although it is advisable to do it 1 month before and 1 month after calving to reduce pasture contamination in spring and summer, thus reducing infections in foals.

DOSAGE AND ROUTES OF ADMINISTRATION:

The recommended dose is 1 g. of IVERCAL PLUS every 60 kg. live weight.
The product is administered orally in the following way:
The plunger of the syringe is graduated according to the dose to be administered according to the weight of the horse. Each mark on the plunger equals 1 g. of product, quantity indicated for 60 kg. of animal weight. The cannula of the syringe is placed in the interdental space of the animal, verifying that it is free of food. The plunger is pressed so that the paste is deposited on the back of the tongue. The animal’s head should be raised immediately for a few seconds to facilitate swallowing of the medicine.

PRECAUTIONS:

Use only in equines.

USE RESTRICTIONS:

Do not use in horses intended for human consumption.
Do not use in animals under 6 months.
