Prednisolona 10

Anti-inflammatory hormone-for Canines and Felines

Prednisolona 10 is a synthetic intermediate-acting corticosteroid.
It is advisable to administer the tablets in dogs between 7 and 10 am in the morning and in cats between 22 and 24 pm to match the normal hormonal curve.

Indications / Uses:
Prednisolona 10 is indicated for replacement therapy treatment of inflammatory processes such as allergies and to suppress immunological mechanisms. It controls autoimmune diseases such as  pernfigo complex, vulgar foliaceus and erythematosus vegetating.

Administration and dosage:
1) For replacement therapy 0.25 mg / kg.
2) For inflammatory processes and skin allergies 0.5 to 1.0 mg / kg per day.
For long-term care:
1) Perform induction for 5 to 7 days at the rate of 0.5 to 1.0 mg / kg per day.
2) Continue with a double dose of 1.0 to 2.0 mg / kg per day every 48 hours (remember that in dogs it should be administered in the morning and at night in cats.
3) Reduce the dose by 50% weekly to determine the lowest dose of maintenance. Treatment should be stopped gradually.

Contraindications / Precautions:
Demodectic mange, chronic arthritis, liver and kidney failure, duodenal ulcer, fungal diseases, glaucoma.

Presentation:
